Birth out of wedlock :Preventive Measure for BOOWL

 Virtually, the growth of single-parent families in recent decades has been driven by an increase in births outside marriage. There are so many unmarried people outside there who are willing to dump their own baby, because they feel ashamed as the baby was born without a marriage verification . This is because of the widespread of adultery and fornication problems that lead to baby dumping. Fornicate is forbidden in Islam and Allah’s wrath towards people who fornicate was already stated in the Quran[1],surah An-Nur[24:2]“The woman and the man guilty of adultery or fornication,- flog each of them with a hundred stripes: Let not compassion move you in their case, in a matter prescribed by Allah, if ye believe in Allah and the Last Day: and let a party of the Believers witness their punishment.”

Allah also stated in surah Al-Furqan: “Those who invoke not, with Allah, any other god, nor slay such life as Allah has made sacred except for just cause, nor commit fornication; - and any that does this (not only) meets punishment.[68] However, Allah The Most Merciful also forgives those who truly repent because He is the one ,who forgives their servant’s truly repent,“Unless they repent thereafter and mend (their conduct); for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.[24:5].

This shows to us that Islam is comprehensive(syumul) because Allah always forgives His servant’s sins, but they must truly regret with the sins that they did. Adultery in Islam is also categorized as one of the most heinous and deadliest of sins. Its enormity can be gauged from the fact that it has often been conjoined in the Quran with the gravest of all sins: shirk or associating partners with Allah. It is no wonder then that Allah and His Messenger have sounded dire warnings against adultery in so many ways,like what was stated in the Quran clearly.The Prophet(PBUH) also mentioned in the hadith about fornication and adultery. To list only a few instances:The Prophet (PBUH) said,”Faith is like a shirt that Allah places on those He chooses;but whoever commits adultery his shirt will be taken off from him;if he were to repent sincerely,Allah will place it back on him.”(Al-Bayhaqi). 

Another hadith: The Prophet (PBUH) said, “O mankind! Beware of fornication/adultery for it entails six dire consequences: three of them relating to this world and three to the next world. As for the three that are related to this world, they are the following: it removes the glow of one’s face, brings poverty, and reduces the life-span. As for its dire consequences in the next world they are: it brings down the wrath of Allah upon the person, subjects him to terrible reckoning, and finally casts him in hell-fire” (Al-Bayhaqi). Ayat from Al-Isra’ [17: 32]

also proved to us that we should avoid adultery so that we can prevent birth out of wedlock:”  Nor come nigh to adultery: for it is a shameful (deed) and an evil, opening the road (to other evils).”From all the above verses and hadith,we can see that Islam always prevent before anything happens because Allah knows everything,it might be whether you like something but in fact it is bad for you,and maybe you hate something but in fact it is good for you,as Allah stated in Surah Al-Baqarah:” Fighting is prescribed for you, and ye dislike it. But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you, and that ye love a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knoweth, and ye know not.” Some people like to have fun without considering Islamic  laws and legislation and finally end up with problems, like birth out of wedlock, abortion, baby dumping, and ecetera. If we, as a muslim do not follow Islamic laws and legislation as stated in the Quran,we can see a lot of bad consequences happen, like what happened now.We also pay ticket to the Hell as a hadith stated: :”There are three types of sinners that Allah will not speak on the Day of Resurrestion;neither He will purify them nor will He even look at them;rather they will suffer severe punishment:an older person who commits adultery, a king or ruler who lies to his subjects, and a poor person who acts arrogantly!”(Muslim and An-Nasa’i).

Everyone plays vital role in implementing Islamic laws and regulation in their daily life to prevent this issue.An individual should have high determination in following Allah’s commandment,for instance controlling their lust from doing anything which is contra with Islamic laws and legislation.An individual also can spread their knowledge about Islam to others using dakwah,whether by writing in books or magazines about Islam, or by using conversation so that people can understand Islam more,and therefore it can help to prevent this problem. 

Authorities also should impose high penalties for those who caught guilty,and advertise more through media about the bad effects of fornication and adultery.These can help people to realize how bad is the birth out of wedlock and how  worse is the action of adultery. The enormity of this sin is no small measure due to its dire consequences affecting individuals, families, and societies. Among these are that it entails infidelity and erodes the trust and tranquility that are the foundations of a fulfilling family life; it dissipates one’s energies; it undermines peace at home; it corrodes the purity of one’s soul and hence destroys one’s faith; finally, it exposes the person to the wrath of Allah, thus resulting in eternal damnation.

There also will be a high risk of getting one of the many sexually transmitted diseases that are out there(including AIDS).[2] Therefore,people who fornicate puts their health at risk.Child who are born out of wedlock also having lack of confident,as they are ashamed towards society because they were born without a marriage verification from their parents.Allah also will sent those people who fornicate to His chastisement as a hadith stated:“When adultery becomes rampant in a nation Allah will expose them to His chastisement.” (Abu Ya`la).A studies from students in UK[3] who focuses on the comparison between children in families with married parents and those with unmarried parents shows that children with unmarried parents are more likely to experience multiple maternal partnership changes compared to children born within marriage.

This is because the differences in parenting behaviour and a lack of stable supply of family resources contribute in explaining the adversity associated with a non-intact family environment.For example,Osborne and McLanahan (2004) find that children born to unmarried mothers experience a lot of maternal partnership changes and that shows to us that families are important in forming good child behaviour.As associated with poor parenting,a family also will facing  greater family instability,as measured by the number of maternal relationship transitions and the lack of Islamic knowledge in the family.Our nation also facing the bad effect  of birth out of wedlock as the hadith stated: “When promiscuous behavior becomes rampant in a nation, Allah will send upon them such (strange) diseases that their own ancestors never heard of.” (At-Tabarani).Our country also will facing the increase in number of babies who born out of wedlock and if there is none of any strictful action from the government,people will tend to fornicate more,thus creating a bad image to our country.In conclusion,we can see that many bad effects will come if we do not follow Islamic rules and regulation.Now we can see how Allah takes care of His servant by sending down the Al-Quran for our guidance.We also know Allah’s wisdom in whatever He commands as He sent down the Al-Quran and Islamic rules and regulation to lead mankind to the true path of life.
