EXCESSIVE ENTERTAINMENT(HEDONISME)

1)Idle talks

“And of mankind is he who purchases idle talks (i.e. music, singing, etc.) to mislead (men) from the Path of Allah without knowledge, and takes it (the Path of Allah, the Verses of the Qur'an) by way of mockery.  For such there will be a humiliating torment (in the Hell-Fire).”(Surah Luqman 31:6)

Based on the ayat,idle talks which are music and singing too much will give the unmeaningful to us.Hedonisme  gives the wrong ideas about the concept entertainment for the muslim.A lot of songs which are contain the idle talks trough the lyrics songs,playing the music instrument and so on.This is shows that how the western culture enters the muslim life through the excessive entertainment.

2)Life of the world is nothing

“And this life of the world is nothing but sport and play. And undoubtedly the home of the Hereafter, necessarily that is the true life. What a good thing it was if they knew.”

(surah Al Ankabut:64)

As we are the muslim,the day of Hereafter is the judgement day to us.All the things that we have today,istemperory.Hereafter that is the true life.As we know today,most of us forgot to think and prepare the Hereafter because the they much worry how to achieve the wealthness in the life.They spend time too much in the entertainment.

3)Cheating of iblis

“And incite [to senselessness] whoever you can among them with your voice and assault them with your horses and foot soldiers and become a partner in their wealth and their children and promise them." But Satan does not promise them except delusion.”

(Al Isra 17:64)

Iblis always try to approach us in every time.Trough the entertainment this thethe way that want to push the human into the useless life.

4)Waste lifetime with music

“The Approaching Day has approached. Of it, [from those] besides Allah , there is no remover. Then at this statement do you wonder? While you are proudly sporting? So prostrate to Allah and worship [Him].(surah An Najm53:57-62)

When people are been influenced with the entertainment, they will forget about the Last Day. Fun,luxury and material will become purpose of their life.When the others advise them to repent and back to Allah,they would just laugh at them and ignore the facts.

5)Soft speech for women

“O wives of the Prophet, you are not like anyone among women. If you fear Allah , then do not be soft in speech [to men], lest he in whose heart is disease should covet, but speak with appropriate speech.”(surah Al Ahzab 33:32)

Women is the leisure world.They are created to accompany and become a partner to Adam.Women are gifted with the beauty and tuneful voice.Therefore,Islam prohibite exposing their beauty and using their voice to attract Adam.Naturally,the Adam will impressed with the women who talk softly and gently to them. Besides, Prophet had mentioned in a hadis the women is a slander. Thus, the women should act and speak firmly with non-mahram.

6)Prohibition from taking lust as a “God ”

“Have you seen he who has taken as his god his [own] desire, and Allah has sent him astray due to knowledge and has set a seal upon his hearing and his heart and put over his vision a veil? So who will guide him after Allah ? Then will you not be reminded?”                             (Surah Al-Jāthiyah 45:23)

Nowadays, human take their desire and lust as their main purpose of life.Therefore,we as a Muslim have to practice the real Islamic teaching to prevent us from being directed to deviant way.

7)Enjoyment of wordly life

“Beautified for people is the love of that which they desire - of women and sons, heaped-up sums of gold and silver, fine branded horses, and cattle and tilled land. That is the enjoyment of worldly life, but Allah has with Him the best return”(Surah Ali Imran 3:14)

In the above ayah,Allah mentions all the need desired by human being in this life which is naturally directing them towards exerting their effort in order to obtain this aspired thing and described by Allah as something beautiful in the eyes of human being. They tend to  like all to have a desire to it that means indirectly, it is more and much beautiful to have and to enjoy it. Thus, if we look at all the above desired things , we can notice that they are not only for securing natural basic necessities , but they are also for the purpose of securing the necessities of self-esteem. 

8)Play and entertainment

“And (remember) we made the heavens and the earth, and all of them, in play . If we want to take an o entertainment, we would have taken it from our side, we did not do”                   (Surah al-Anbia’ 21: 16-17)

Evidence from as-Sunnah, From 'A'ishareported:Messenger incoming (see me), then two deeds (girls) are singing (commemorating the war) Baath. He (hear the song) while lying baringku place and turned away his face. (Suddenly) in Abu Bakr and he disobeyed my flute (mizmar) evil in the sight of the Prophet. The Messenger audience Abu Bakr and said: Let them sing (not why). When the Prophet is quite comfortable and complacent, I hinted to my eyes to the two singers had been berbenti they sing and go out (leave us). (Hadith narrated by al-Bukhari and Muslim)

9)Hereafter the best home

“What is the life of this world but play and amusement? But best is the home in the hereafter, for those who are righteous. Will ye not then understand?”(Surah Al-Anaam 6:32)

The imperfection of this life does not gainsay the fact that there are also good and beautiful things on earth. But here on earth, what is regarded as beautiful, delightful, pleasing and attractive stands cheek-by-jowl with the imperfect, flawed and ugly. In this world, good and evil are commingled. This is but a reminder of paradise and hell. Indeed, if observed with a sound and conscientious mind, these facts would make a person realise the truth of the hereafter. With Allah, that life which is deemed good and beneficial for man is actually that of the hereafter.

10)People who have been deceived by the life of the world

"Such as took their religion to be mere amusement and play, and were deceived by the life of the world." That day shall We forget them as they forgot the meeting of this day of theirs, and as they were wont to reject Our signs. (Al-A'raaf 7:51)

Allah did not negate the love of mankind for these things nor is it regarded as an innate evil - the test is in what we do with them.  Will we indulge in them in obedience to Allah and thereby transform mere pleasures and indulgences into worship of our Lord?  Or will we become slaves to the objects of our desires turning all of our pleasures in this world into disobedience and rebellion against Allah Most High?  The Prophet (sas) knew that this nation would experience plenty and riches after him and feared for us with regard to this test more than he feared for us from the test of poverty and deprivation

11)Hereafter enjoyment the most value than worldlife

But seek, with that (wealth) which Allah has bestowed on you, the home of the Hereafter, and forget not your portion of legal enjoyment in this world, and do good as Allah has been good to you, and seek not mischief in the land. Verily, Allah likes not the Mufsidun (those who commit great crimes and sins, oppressors, tyrants, mischief-makers, corrupts)  (Surah Al Qasas 28:77)

Nevertheless, as we indulge in the pleasures of this world - within the bounds established by Allah Most High - we must never forget its "lowliness" in comparison with the provision of Allah in the hereafter to those of His slaves who were obedient in this "place of passing

12)Prohibits the disgusting things

"He has forbidden them good things and prohibits for them all the disgusting things (vile, evil)." (Surah al-A’raaf7:157)

Allah knows the best for human being because He had created us.All His command injuction is revealed for benefits of mankind.It should be noted that the objective of syariah is to protect our intellectual ,dignity,life,property and Ad deen.

13)Quran:The book of guidence

“Those [who do so] are the ones that Allah has cursed, so He deafened them and blinded their vision.Then do they not reflect upon the Qur'an, or are there locks upon [their] hearts?” (Surah Muhamad 47:23-24)

The Quran contains many dimensions of guidance for those who are conscious of Him(hudanlil-muttaqin).Those who are implement what have been told by Quran ,he will be not guided by Allah.

14)Comparison worldly life and Hereafter

O you who have believed, what is [the matter] with you that, when you are told to go forth in the cause of Allah , you adhere heavily to the earth? Are you satisfied with the life of this world rather than the Hereafter? But what is the enjoyment of worldly life compared to the Hereafter except a [very] little.(Surah At Taubah 9:38)

Bounties gifted by Allah this world are little as compared to that of Hereafter.

15)World as a platform,Hereafter is the ultimate destination

“Allah extends provision for whom He wills and restricts [it]. And they rejoice in the worldly life, while the worldly life is not, compared to the Hereafter, except [brief] enjoyment.(Surah Ar’Rad 13:26)

World is the place for us to make good deeds as much as possible to protect us from hell fire in the Hereafter.
